TTM Technologies is seeking a Chief Scientist to provide visionary technical leadership in RF and Microwave engineering. The position serves as the organization’s highest technical authority in the discipline, shaping strategic direction and establishing the technical foundation for next-generation capabilities. The Chief Scientist defines multi-year technology roadmaps and investment priorities, assesses emerging scientific and industry developments, and translates opportunities into actionable research and development programs. The role leads and contributes to complex technical projects involving RF/Microwave components, subsystems, systems, passive and active beamforming designs, and integrated microwave assemblies. It combines scientific research and hands-on technical work with strategic planning, system architecture, proposal support, and guidance to engineering teams. The Chief Scientist collaborates with internal functions and external customers, suppliers, government sponsors, industry partners, and academic institutions, while mentoring engineers and senior principal engineers. The successful candidate is expected to have a distinguished record of technical achievement and be a recognized authority in RF/Microwave engineering. A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on Electromagnetic Fields is required, and a master’s degree or PhD is preferred. A minimum of 20 years of relevant experience is required. The candidate must have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance when necessary for a project. The role also requires compliance with TTM export-control policies and applicable laws, including ITAR, EAR, and OFAC requirements. Occasional travel may be required.
