This role manages the County's centralized purchasing function, establishes departmental objectives, interprets purchasing policies, and maintains relationships with contractors and suppliers. The officer also assists County personnel with purchasing discrepancies and familiarizes managers with purchasing laws. Additionally, they develop specifications for bids and proposals, oversee the bidding process, and participate in relevant professional organizations.
