Chief Operations Officer
About The Position
The American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) is seeking a dynamic and business-minded leader to serve as its Chief Operating Officer (COO). Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this individual will provide leadership, management, and vision necessary to lead ASTRO’s core business operations, including Membership, Clinical Programs, Quality Programs, and Journals Management. The COO will ensure the organization has the appropriate organizational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and business systems in place to effectively grow the organization and maintain operational efficiency. In collaboration with the CEO, the COO will develop annual operational plans to support the organization's strategic goals. With a project management approach, the COO will work with staff leaders to optimize organizational workload distribution, headcount, and the exemplary execution of ASTRO programming. The COO will foster a culture that prioritizes both a customer-centric mindset and data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities
