About The Position

The Chief Operating Officer reports to the Chief Executive Officer. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of Evergreen Center’s Residential Treatment program, ensuring the implementation of the strategic plan, and managing personnel activities. The COO also acts as a liaison between the Children's Residential Treatment program and support teams, reviews clinical activities, and participates in various committees.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in special education, psychology, or related field (Master’s Degree considered if enrolled in a program leading to a doctoral degree)
  • Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analysts (required)
  • Ten years of relevant clinical and management experience with individuals who have multiple challenges
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all students, their families, staff, management personnel and public safety officials

Nice To Haves

  • Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education school Administrator of Special Education and Massachusetts Teacher certification in Special Education (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of the day-to-day operations of Evergreen Center’s Residential Treatment program
  • Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of activities that support the Board approved strategic plan
  • Chairs Executive Team and Manager’s Meetings for the Children’s Residential Treatment Program
  • Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of administrative operational policies and procedures
  • Monitors and oversees activities related to personnel including training, evaluations, promotions/ demotions, schedule changes, conflict resolution, injury reporting and follow up
  • Acts as a liaison between the Evergreen Center’s Children’s Residential Treatment program and HR, IT, Facilities, QA, and other support teams as the on-site point of contact
  • Review and monitoring of behavioral clinical activities
  • Reporting of restraints, time outs, and other clinical activities to licensing agencies as required by regulation
  • Coordinates clinical development activities and training in partnership with other executives and the Director of Professional Development
  • When necessary, chairs internal review teams and provides follow up
  • Participates in the Parent Advisory Council and Human Rights Committee for Children’s Residential Treatment
