About The Position

Provides leadership for Esperanza Health Center’s strategic planning, organizational performance, data governance, business planning, and evaluation of existing and emerging programs and initiatives. Provides strategic oversight to the collection, analysis, and use of data to support quality improvement, operational effectiveness, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and achievement of Esperanza’s mission and strategic priorities. Supervises Esperanza’s Information Technology and Clinical Informatics Departments and sponsors cross-functional teams responsible for evaluating performance across key lines of business, including Medical, Dental, and Behavioral Health revenue cycle management, and Value-Based Care initiatives. In collaboration with the CEO, senior leadership team, and the Board of Directors, advances the implementation of Esperanza’s strategic plan, cultivates strategic partnerships, and leads the development and assessment of new programs, services, and growth opportunities that strengthen Esperanza’s ability to sustainably carry out its mission to provide holistic care that is compelled by the love of God in Christ Jesus for our community.

Requirements

  • Strategic oversight to the collection, analysis, and use of data to support quality improvement, operational effectiveness, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and achievement of Esperanza’s mission and strategic priorities.
  • Supervision of Information Technology and Clinical Informatics Departments.
  • Sponsorship of cross-functional teams responsible for evaluating performance across key lines of business, including Medical, Dental, and Behavioral Health revenue cycle management, and Value-Based Care initiatives.
  • Collaboration with the CEO, senior leadership team, and the Board of Directors to advance the implementation of Esperanza’s strategic plan.
  • Cultivation of strategic partnerships.
  • Leadership in the development and assessment of new programs, services, and growth opportunities.
  • Ensuring infrastructure and processes are in place to effectively measure and report on key performance indicators.
  • Ensuring EHC has the infrastructure, resources, and processes to support and maintain its Electronic Health Records system.
  • Ensuring EHC has processes to effectively collect and evaluate data for quality improvement, business performance, compliance, grant reporting, and assessment of strategic growth opportunities.
  • Equipping Department Leaders and Managers in developing and maintaining key metrics and dashboards.
  • Sponsorship of EHC’s Data Governance Committee.
  • Sponsorship of Inter-Departmental teams and working groups for evaluation of EHC’s key lines of business.
  • Assessment of organizational capacity and modeling of financial viability.
  • Overseeing EHC’s governmental relations and key external strategic relationships.
  • Discernment and implementation of strategies in alignment with Esperanza’s missional commitments.
  • Leadership and coordination for the implementation and ongoing advancement of Esperanza Health Center’s strategic plan.
  • Fostering accountability, encouraging collaboration, and supporting the achievement of strategic goals across the organization.
  • Monitoring progress toward strategic priorities, identifying opportunities and challenges, and providing updates to leadership and the Board.
  • Leadership to the Business Planning team in exploring opportunities that strengthen Esperanza’s ability to serve patients and the community.
  • Assessment of community needs, healthcare trends, regulatory developments, and market opportunities.
  • Development of analyses, business plans, and financial assessments for leadership.
  • Partnering with leaders to identify, prioritize, and implement strategic opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring that infrastructure and processes are in place to effectively measure and report on the key indicators of performance needed to evaluate EHC’s progress toward reaching its missional goals, including business performance and quality goals.
  • Supervision of the Director of Information Technology, Director of Clinical Informatics and the Director of Strategic Planning
  • Ensuring that EHC has the infrastructure, resources, and processes in place to support and maintain its Electronic Health Records system (including oversight of organizational processes connected with any EHR transition)
  • Ensuring that EHC has processes in place to effectively collect and evaluate data needed for quality improvement, business performance, compliance, grant reporting, and assessment of strategic growth opportunities.
  • Equip Department Leaders and Managers in developing and maintaining key metrics and dashboards for their teams and departments as part of ongoing processes of reaching departmental performance and quality goals
  • Sponsor EHC’s Data Governance Committee
  • Sponsor Inter-Departmental teams and working groups responsible for regular evaluation of EHC’s key lines of business (including the review of P&L’s and any key performance dashboards and metrics), including a Revenue Cycle Management task force, an Incentives/Value-Based Medicine task force, and regular performance meetings for Dental and Behavioral Health Departments
  • To assess organizational capacity and modeling of financial viability
  • Oversee EHC’s governmental relations and key external strategic relationships
  • In partnership with the Senior Leadership team, discern and implement strategies in ways that are in keeping with Esperanza’s missional commitments to work as a ministry that is compelled by the Love of God in Christ Jesus
  • Provide leadership and coordination for the implementation and ongoing advancement of Esperanza Health Center’s strategic plan, helping ensure that priorities, initiatives, and resources remain aligned with our mission of providing compassionate care and serving our community.
  • Work alongside senior leaders, department directors, and the Board of Directors to foster accountability, encourage collaboration, and support the successful achievement of strategic goals across the organization.
  • Monitor progress toward strategic priorities, identify opportunities and challenges, and provide meaningful updates to help leadership and the Board make informed decisions and remain focused on Esperanza's long-term vision.
  • Provide leadership to the Business Planning team in exploring opportunities that strengthen Esperanza’s ability to serve patients and the community, including the evaluation of new programs, services, partnerships, and growth initiatives.
  • Assess community needs, healthcare trends, regulatory developments, and market opportunities to identify strategies that advance Esperanza’s mission while supporting organizational sustainability and long-term impact.
  • Develop thoughtful analyses, business plans, and financial assessments that assist leadership in evaluating new initiatives and making informed decisions regarding investments, partnerships, and service expansion.
  • Partner with leaders to identify, prioritize, and implement strategic opportunities that enhance patient access, improve services, and support Esperanza’s continued growth and ministry to the community.
