About The Position

Featherless AI is seeking its first Chief of Staff to support the CEO and leadership team, aiming to unlock the company's next phase of growth. This role is designed to address challenges related to unclear roles and responsibilities, lack of ownership for key projects, and prioritization difficulties. The Chief of Staff will be responsible for converting founder intuition into structured processes without creating bureaucracy, owning operational areas, and establishing clear KPIs with accountability. The role offers significant ownership and will evolve based on the individual's strengths and the company's scaling needs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a high-ownership, fast-moving environment such as startup operations, strategy consulting, or banking.
• Strong judgment under ambiguity.
• Sufficient technical fluency to understand discussions in engineering syncs and customer calls, with a comfort level in the domain of inference/model-serving products.
• Proven ability to take undefined problems, create a plan, and execute with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of accurately representing the CEO's intent.
• Adaptability and comfort with a role that will evolve as the company scales.

Responsibilities

• Manage operational administration, including vendor contracts and renewals, finance/ops logistics, and recruiting process management (pipeline tracking, interview loops, offer logistics).
• Facilitate cross-team coordination between engineering, sales, and product to ensure alignment on priorities and proactively address communication gaps.
• Establish and manage the company's operating rhythm, including leadership meetings, action-item tracking, and decision follow-through, especially as the company grows beyond 50 employees.
• Take ownership of high-priority special projects that do not have a clear owner, with responsibilities shifting as needed.
