TripleLift•New York, NY
•$200,000 - $250,000•Hybrid

About The Position

TripleLift is seeking a Chief of Staff to serve as a strategic thought partner to the CEO and a force multiplier for the executive team. The role helps shape, execute, and communicate the company’s most important strategic initiatives, partnering with executive leadership and the private equity sponsor to pressure-test plans, drive cross-functional execution, and maintain organizational focus on priorities. It is a strategic and hands-on position, not an administrative role, and is described as a stepping stone to senior strategy, operations, or P&L leadership. The position is hybrid and based in TripleLift’s New York City office, with an expectation of working in the office three days per week. The Chief of Staff sits on the executive team and reports directly to the CEO. The role spans strategic planning, cross-functional initiatives, M&A and integration work, executive operating rhythms, and communications with employees, the board, and financial sponsors. The listed U.S. base salary range is $200,000–$250,000. Eligible employees may receive bonuses and region-specific benefits, including medical, dental, and vision plans, flexible PTO, and a 401(k) with employer match.

Requirements

  • Experience running or supporting 100-day plans, M&A, synergy tracking, or carve-out and integration workstreams, ideally across technology, finance, operations, and go-to-market functions.
  • Comfort moving between high-level strategy and day-to-day execution, reporting cadences, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Discretion, a low-ego and high-output approach, strong relationship skills, and the ability to support the CEO and executive team without seeking the spotlight.

Nice To Haves

  • An MBA or post-undergraduate master’s degree.
  • Direct experience working inside private equity portfolio companies as an embedded resource, EIR, or through a PE operating group on margin improvement, operating leverage, or growth initiatives.
  • Military background as a former operational commissioned officer in the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, or Air Force, ideally with experience leading teams under operational pressure and tight timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a thought partner to the CEO and executive team on strategic questions, building and interpreting KPIs tied directly to the company’s strategic mission.
  • Sit on the executive team as a direct report to the CEO.
  • Create and drive cross-functional strategic initiatives across finance, operations, and go-to-market, including margin improvement, cost takeout, growth programs, and transformation work.
  • Pressure-test plans for feasibility before rollout and provide candid, data-backed feedback to leadership.
  • Run or support 100-day plans, synergy tracking, and M&A carve-out or integration workstreams.
  • Communicate strategy and outcomes to employees, the board of directors, and financial sponsors, and prepare board and sponsor materials.
  • Own the CEO’s executive operating rhythm, including reporting cadences, executive team and board preparation, follow-through on commitments, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Act as a trusted liaison between the C-suite and the broader organization, influencing without authority to keep initiatives on track.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision plans for eligible employees.
  • Flexible PTO; the posting also describes this as an open Paid Time Off policy.
  • 401(k) with employer match.
  • Bonuses may be included in total compensation.
  • Region-specific benefits may be available to eligible employees.
