About The Position
The commercial insurance industry is broken, still running on paperwork and fax machines. Rates are disconnected from actual risk, quotes take weeks, and claims drag on for months. Nirvana is changing that - using data and AI to reimagine insurance from the ground up. We’ve built cutting-edge predictive models using 50B+ miles of proprietary IoT data, and AI-powered underwriting and claims to be >2x faster. We’ve proven the model with $300M+ run-rate, industry-leading loss ratios and are backed by marquee VCs like Lightspeed, General Catalyst and Valor. We're now expanding beyond an AI-native insurer into a broader platform - multiple businesses transforming the entire insurance value chain. This role exists because we need someone to build the narrative for what we're becoming, not just what we've been.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in high-ownership roles: we’re not wedded to a specific pedigree, we want smart generalists from the likes of consulting, finance, product, business operations, military, founder/CEO office, etc.
- Operating experience in fast-moving environments
- Strategic and analytical thinker
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bias-to-action and self-driven: you move fast and build things yourself with an AI-native mindset
- Thrive in high-growth environments with limited direction
- Very high judgment and maturity with sensitive, high-stakes information
- High agency, low ego: you’re willing to do whatever the company needs
- Executive presence and influence: you can push back, when necessary, on experienced leaders

- Previous founding experience strongly preferred, even if it didn’t work
Responsibilities
- Drive clarity around critical decisions, separate signal from noise and follow-through until they become outcomes
- Own high-priority projects and cross-functional initiatives that don’t have a natural home yet
- Scale our operating rhythms with a high bar for impact - business reviews, off-sites, planning and more
- Proactively identify and solve bottlenecks across the company
- Run board and investor prep, and help shape how we tell our story externally
