The Chief of Staff (CoS) to the President serves as a strategic partner and operational integrator, ensuring alignment of priorities, seamless execution of initiatives, and effective coordination across the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). This role acts as an extension of the Office of the President, driving focus, clarity, and momentum across the organization. This role is based in our Palo Alto, CA location. The Chief of Staff will have significant ownership of external facing engagement/engagement coordination on behalf of President/organization. Will ensure calendar alignment and prioritization, cross-functional synchronization, ELT effectiveness, and site-level operational cadence. The role also supports team engagement initiatives and partners closely with the Executive Operations point of contact (POC) in Houston to ensure consistent executive alignment and information flow.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree, four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, program management, or executive support roles
  • Demonstrated experience supporting senior executives or leadership teams
  • Experience operating in complex, matrixed organizations
  • Ability to travel

Responsibilities

  • Executive Partnership & Strategic Alignment Serve as advisor and thought partner to the President.
  • Translate strategic priorities into executable plans and operating rhythms.
  • Ensure the President’s time, focus, and attention are aligned to the highest-impact initiatives.
  • Prepare briefing materials and follow-ups/action item tracking for key meetings.
  • Calendar Strategy & Prioritization Own strategic calendar alignment in partnership with Executive Assistant.
  • Prioritize meeting cadence to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Evaluate competing demands and make recommendations.
  • Ensure meeting agendas, materials, and objectives are clear and outcomes-driven.
  • Executive Leadership Team (ELT) Support Track key decisions, action items, and cross-functional dependencies.
  • Identify alignment gaps and proactively address friction points.
  • Support execution of enterprise-wide initiatives driven by the ELT.
  • Cross-Functional Operational Synchronization Sync regularly with functional counterparts to ensure smooth day-to-day site operations.
  • Ensure site-level initiatives remain aligned with broader corporate priorities.
  • Partner closely with the Executive Operations POC in Houston for ongoing inputs, executive communications, and rhythm alignment.
  • Customer Engagement & Culture Support Support customer and external engagements, ensure alignment with Business Development/New Business priorities.
  • Act as liaison to key executives/offices within the industry, representing President and organization as needed for communication/coordination efforts.
  • Support planning and execution of team engagement activities, town halls, support leadership communications, and recognition programs.
  • Help reinforce leadership messaging and organizational clarity.
  • Contribute to a strong, connected, and high-performance site culture.
  • Special Projects & Execution Lead or support high-priority, cross-functional projects on behalf of the President/ELT.
  • Conduct research, analysis, and executive-level reporting as needed.
  • Step in to drive execution where ownership or alignment gaps exist.
