Blitzy is a Cambridge, MA based AI software development platform on a mission to revolutionize the software development life cycle by autonomously building custom software to unlock the next industrial revolution. We're transforming how enterprises build software, turning enterprise requirements into production-ready code with an agentic software development platform that can autonomously execute 80% of the quantum of software development work. We're backed by multiple tier 1 investors, and have proven success as founders of previous start-ups. The Role We're looking for a Chief of Staff to the CTO to serve as the strategic operating backbone of our Technology organization. You'll work directly with our CTO to drive clarity, execution, and accountability across engineering and the broader technology function. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, and execution — translating vision into reality through structured thinking, data-driven decision-making, and relentless follow-through. This is not a purely operational role, and it is not a role where technical depth is a nice-to-have. We're specifically looking for engineering leaders — people who have run engineering teams, owned architecture and roadmap decisions, and shipped product — who now want to apply that judgment to company-wide strategy and operations rather than day-to-day team management. You should be able to walk into an architecture review or a technical roadmap debate and hold your own as a peer, not just translate what others decide. If you're not technical enough to do that, this isn't the right seat. You'll own the CTO's operating rhythm, lead cross-functional strategic initiatives, and tackle the most complex, ambiguous problems that don't have clear owners. This isn't a traditional Chief of Staff role focused on calendar management — you'll be a strategic operator who builds systems, drives decisions, and accelerates the CTO's impact as we scale from Series A toward Series B and beyond. This role is ideal for a technical leader — someone who has spent several years running engineering teams as a Director of Engineering, Senior Engineering Manager, or similar — who is looking to move from managing a single function to operating across the whole business. You'll thrive here if you want less time in 1:1s and sprint planning and more time on strategy, structure, and cross-functional execution, without giving up the technical credibility that got you here. You should also thrive at creating structure, excel at communication, and be able to navigate the controlled chaos of hypergrowth.
