Chief of Staff to the CEO

Everyday DoseAustin, TX

About The Position

The Chief of Staff to the CEO will run the CEO's operating system, focusing on goals, cadence, and follow-through. This role also involves owning projects that do not yet have a designated owner. The position requires managing the execution of key initiatives in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that critical tasks are set, tracked, and completed while maintaining ongoing operations. This is not an executive assistant or note-taking role; it requires owning outcomes, running leadership team meetings, and having a significant impact on the business.

  • Strong academic background and experience at companies with a known high bar.
  • Proven track record of promotions within previous organizations.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets and comfort in a data environment; ability to build models, size opportunities, read cohort curves, and pull own numbers.
  • Exceptional writing skills for memos, board decks, and executive communications.
  • Experience running an operating cadence (OKRs or equivalent, weekly business reviews, planning cycles) at a company with significant volume.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and firmly with senior executives regarding goals and project status.
  • Startup metabolism: comfortable with high ambiguity, fast context switching, and a willingness to take on any task.
  • Daily use of AI tooling for analysis, drafting, and research.

  • Consulting, banking, or PE background combined with significant operating experience.

  • Ensure all meetings result in clear owners and deadlines, and follow up on action items.
  • Build and maintain company-level reporting for leadership in partnership with finance and data teams.
  • Reconcile discrepancies between different data sources.
