About The Position

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team. We are seeking a highly strategic and operationally sound Chief of Staff for our Marketing Growth, Performance, and Operations (GPO) team within LinkedIn’s Marketing organization. This individual will act as a thought partner and drive the day-to-day execution of key priorities, serving as a trusted advisor to the Vice President of GPO and the leadership team. This role will be instrumental in advancing the strategic priorities and narrative of the organization, while ensuring operational excellence through effective processes and a robust rhythm of business. The GPO team is comprised of seasoned subject-matter experts who rely on extensive experience, an ambitious vision, and an outcome-oriented approach to drive LinkedIn's growth through best-in-class marketing, technologies, and capabilities.To be successful, the Chief of Staff should have a robust strategic approach, be technologically savvy, precise and structured in their approach to operations, and be an effective communicator. The strategic approach involves getting close to how things work in the business and the team before understanding what matters most and developing a practical action plan that drives impact. A passion for technology will allow the Chief of Staff to understand and genuinely appreciate the work performed by this team of experts who live at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and best-in-class marketing, where art meets science. Communication skills will be necessary to establish an internal and external team narrative outlining the GPO's impact on LinkedIn's growth. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong judgment in handling sensitive, confidential, and non‑routine matters, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast‑moving environment while constructively challenging existing ways of working. They have a proven history of enabling teams to excel through rigorous analysis, strategic leadership, effective communication, and operational discipline. The Chief of Staff is a crucial member of the Marketing Growth, Performance & Operations leadership team, participating in strategy discussions, leading key initiatives, facilitating business planning and execution, and communicating results. They will also be a part of the Marketing Chief of Staff community to help connect strategy, operations, and relationships across the global organization. Requirements

  • 8+ years experience in operations, strategy, management, program management, or marketing/communication roles
  • BA/ BS Degree or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Execution: Drive the strategic agenda for the GPO organization, ensuring priorities translate into measurable outcomes and align with VP, GPO vision. Develop and implement practical action plans that drive significant impact. Lead critical initiatives that span strategy, business planning, organzational effectiveness and execution. Drive alignment between GPO business operations and broader organizational goals.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure operational excellence by establishing and maintaining efficient processes. Establish and continuously improve processes that increase efficiency and precision, while driving a structured approach to operations. Handle highly sensitive, confidential, and non-routine information with discretion.
  • Team & Stakeholder Engagement: Establish an internal and external narrative that outlines the GPO’s impact on LinkedIn’s growth. Keep the team engaged and focused, ensuring alignment and support from cross-functional stakeholders. Inspire excellence from yourself and business partners in a rapidly changing organization.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Act as a key member of the GPO leadership team, by owning the internal and external team narrative, ensuring clarity of mission, impact and communication. Communicate results effectively, both within the team and to broader stakeholders. Be an expert communicator to drive engagement and alignment across the team.
  • Innovation & Technology: Leverage a passion for technology to appreciate and understand the team’s work at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and best-in-class marketing. Foster an environment where art meets science, promoting innovative solutions that drive growth and efficiency.
  • Budgetary and Financial Proficiency: Plan and manage the budget for the GPO team, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
