A Day in the Life The Chief of Staff to the Chief Communications Officer (CCO) plays a pivotal role in advancing the strategy, performance, and impact of the Global Communications and Corporate Marketing function. This individual serves as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the CCO, helping translate priorities into action, ensuring the leadership team operates with focus and accountability, and driving the execution of key transformation initiatives. The role combines strategic planning, leadership of the GCCM Operations team, , and executive communications. The Chief of Staff ensures the function’s leadership team remains aligned to enterprise priorities and delivers against its strategic roadmap, leading continuous process improvement for the function, while also shaping and amplifying the voice and profile of the CCO internally and externally.

Requirements

  • 1 5 + years of experience in communications, corporate marketing, strategy, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to operate in highly strategic, fast-paced environments supporting senior executives.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen who can translate vision into execution , with demonstrated ability to connect communications and marketing strategy to enterprise priorities and business results .
  • Exceptional organizational, facilitation, and execution skills to drive clarity and accountability.
  • Trusted advisor with sound judgment and strong strategic instincts , including the ability to quickly and accurately assess complex situations, anticipate what matters most, and translate insight into decisive, value creating action .
  • Collaborative leader who builds alignment across leaders at all levels and diverse teams while helping all areas of the function feel seen and heard .
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilitie s to with the ability to shape executive voice and presence.
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Functional Alignment Partner with the CCO and GCCM leaders to shape the function’s strategy and translate it into clear priorities, initiatives, milestones, and goals aligned to enterprise priorities.
  • Keep leadership discussions and decisions focused on the highest-impact outcomes by monitoring progress, surfacing risks and opportunities, driving follow-through, and leading process improvements that increase agility and accelerate results.
  • Leadership Team Operations & Governance Lead the leadership team operating rhythm (meetings, offsites, and working sessions), ensuring disciplined preparation, clarity of decisions, accountability, and follow-through on actions and outcomes.
  • Coordinate cross-functional priorities across the GCCM organization, reinforce consistent leadership communications and function-wide alignment, and partner with the leadership team to create, track, and adjust the AOP to fund the most critical work while meeting financial targets.
  • Functional Transformation & Organizational Effectiveness Stay ahead of external trends and partner with the CCO to evolve GCCM’s operating model and capabilities to meet future enterprise needs.
  • Design and drive transformation initiatives that strengthen integration across sub-functions, improve operational effectiveness, and advance the maturity, capabilities, and impact of the function through targeted special projects.
  • Executive Communications & Profile Building Lead strategic communications for the CCO across internal and external channels, developing executive messaging, presentations, and thought leadership that reflect the CCO’s priorities and perspective.
  • Build opportunities to elevate the CCO’s profile and position GCCM as a progressive, world-class function, ensuring a consistent executive voice that engages and inspires employees and stakeholders.
  • Enterprise Connectivity Serve as a connector between the Global Communications and Corporate Marketing leadership team and key partners across the enterprise.
  • Help ensure alignment with enterprise strategy and senior leadership priorities.
  • Represent the function in cross-company initiatives as appropriate
