This faculty position is available on either the tenure or non-tenure track at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. Academic rank and tenure status will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The Division Chief will provide leadership and oversight for the continued growth and development of the Pediatric Rheumatology program. Responsibilities include delivering inpatient and outpatient clinical care; teaching and mentoring pediatric fellows, residents, and medical students; conducting scholarly and research activities; and leading the division’s expanding research portfolio, which includes investigator-initiated studies, registry-based research, and industry-sponsored clinical investigations. We provide training in musculoskeletal ultrasound and have collaborative research and clinical relationships with Adult Rheumatology, Orthopedics, and PMR, including their state-of-the-art gait analysis laboratory. The Division includes a pediatric immunologist who directs one of three state funded SCID newborn screening sites and provides care to a large population of children with primary immunodeficiencies, as well as immunodeficient patients needing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in collaboration with BMT service and cardiac transplant patients requiring aggressive immunosuppression. There are also two allergists, one pediatric allergy APRN, and allergy nurses, providing cutting-edge comprehensive allergy services to children in North Florida and the Panhandle.
