About The Position

The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team at Forest View Hospital. This role integrates and coordinates a patient-centric nursing strategy with a focus on patient care, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective healthcare delivery consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services (UHS). The CNO participates in strategic planning and contributes to institutional goals. The role focuses on five key areas: People, Service, Quality, Growth, and Finance. Forest View Hospital is a 108-bed, private psychiatric facility with over 45 years of experience in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating behavioral health issues for children, adolescents, and adults through inpatient, partial hospitalization, and outpatient services.

Requirements

  • Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the state of MI.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a CCNE accredited nursing program.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of behavioral health nursing clinical practices and management.
  • Extensive knowledge of principles and practices relevant to nursing and patient care activities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of effective management and supervisory practices.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to plan, direct, and monitor others’ activities with demonstrated leadership abilities that contribute to a positive work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Science in Nursing is strongly preferred.
  • Five or more years of progressive nursing management experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.
