About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital - Springfield Critical Illness Recovery Hospital (LTACH) is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to join their team. This role offers bonus incentives and an extensive onboarding and training program with customizable health insurance packages. Our hospital is dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. We support patients during their most vulnerable moments, and our team is central to delivering compassionate, excellent care.

Requirements

  • BSN required.
  • MSN or equivalent Master's in Healthcare or enrollment in a Master's program required (Exceptions approved by SVP, Clinical Operations).
  • Three to Five years of hospital nursing experience required.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
  • BLS required.
  • ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Three or more years' experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity preferred.
  • Experience with vents, hemodynamics, critical drips, ET Tubes and wounds.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Champion of the Select Medical Way, prioritizing patients, improving community quality of life, fostering innovation, providing high-quality care, and acting ethically.
  • Act as the clinical leader for the facility, collaborating with the CEO and Human Resources leader to address challenges and enhance both employee and patient experiences.
  • Develop high-standard leadership skills, work with respiratory and rehabilitation departments, and lead a highly skilled clinical team.
  • Resolve staffing ratios and collaborate with senior nursing staff to improve the quality of care.
  • Engage with regional leaders on staffing initiatives, including leading educational programs for new graduates and re-entry nurses.
  • Maintain fiscal responsibility to ensure budgets are met and costs are controlled within the hospital.
  • Foster a supportive and engaging culture for employees by treating others with respect.
