Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)
About The Position
The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, responsible for integrating and coordinating a patient-centric nursing strategy with a focus on patient care. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective healthcare consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services (UHS) and in accordance with government regulations, licensing, and accreditation requirements. The CNO will participate in the hospital’s strategic planning and contribute to the achievement of institutional goals and objectives. The Ridge Behavioral Health System is a 110-bed hospital offering comprehensive psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment for children, adolescents, and adults, including Inpatient, Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient Programs, Individual Counseling, and Medication Management. It is a teaching facility that has served behavioral health needs for nearly 40 years.
Requirements
- Current license to practice professional nursing in KY.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a CCNE accredited nursing program required.
- Minimum of 4 years nursing and supervisory/administrative experience.
- Familiarity with The Joint Commission and other regulatory parties.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of behavioral health nursing clinical practices and management.
- Ability to plan, direct, and monitor others’ activities.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities that contribute to a positive work environment.
Nice To Haves
- Master of Science in Nursing strongly preferred.
