About The Position

The candidate selected will fulfill an 8-9 month interim assignment at Belmont Pines, the largest freestanding children’s behavioral health hospital in northeast Ohio and western Pennsylvania. Belmont Pines provides comprehensive behavioral health services to children and adolescents ages 5 through 18, with inpatient, residential, and outpatient services tailored to patient needs. The facility employs a compassionate, trauma-informed care treatment model. The facility is located on nearly 20 wooded acres in Liberty Township, Ohio, offering a scenic and comfortable environment for young patients. Virtual family therapy is also available for distant families. The Interim CNO actively participates in facility leadership, collaborating with other leaders in designing and supervising patient care and services. This role maintains responsibility for establishing and ensuring the implementation of nursing standards of patient care and provides oversight and supervision of the Director of Nursing.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Active licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio or Multi State.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing.
  • Four (4) years of psychiatric nursing experience (treatment and care of persons whose principal diagnosis and focus of treatment is a psychiatric disorder).
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of behavioral health nursing clinical practices and management.
  • Extensive knowledge of principles and practices relevant to nursing and patient care activities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of effective management and supervisory practices.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Five or more years of progressive nursing management experience in a behavioral health setting.

  • Voluntary certification in psychiatric and mental health nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Association.
