About The Position
This role involves supporting Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) within JMMG during their transitions into and out of the organization. The Chief, NP/PA will participate in pre-partner reviews, recruitment efforts, and policy/procedure reviews for NPs and PAs. Additionally, this role is responsible for determining preceptors for NP students and includes various meeting responsibilities such as quarterly meetings with NPs and PAs, meetings with the VP Chair, and monthly attendance at managing partner and medical director meetings.
Requirements
- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant within JMMG
- Current Board Certification
- Greater than or equal to 0.5 FTE Clinical Effort expected
- Expectation is full commitment to JMMG without Outside Employment
- Strong citizenship record
Responsibilities
- Support new hire Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants as they transition into JMMG
- Support Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants who are transitioning out of JMMG
- Participate in pre-partner reviews for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
- Participate in recruitment of Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants
- Review and make recommendations regarding Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants policies and procedures
- Determine preceptors for Nurse Practitioner students
- Meet with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants quarterly
- Meet with VP Chair
- Attend managing partner meetings monthly
- Attend medical director meetings monthly
