About The Position

Seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to provide clinical leadership, strategic direction, and oversight of all medical operations within the organization. The CMO will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting organizational growth, provider performance, compliance, and quality initiatives.

Requirements

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Active New York State medical license
Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or related primary care specialty
Strong understanding of outpatient primary care operations and healthcare regulations
Experience with quality improvement, value-based care, and population health management
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
EMR proficiency required

Responsibilities

Provide strategic oversight of all clinical programs and medical services
Establish and maintain clinical standards, protocols, and best practices
Ensure high-quality, evidence-based patient care across all service lines
Lead initiatives focused on patient safety, clinical quality, and outcomes improvement
Support the development and implementation of population health and preventive care strategies
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local healthcare regulations
Oversee clinical risk management and quality assurance programs
Collaborate with administrative leadership on policies and operational compliance
Promote patient satisfaction and continuity of care
Represent the organization in professional and community settings
Strengthen relationships with hospitals, specialists, and healthcare partners
