About The Position

Just Ingredients is seeking a visionary, performance-driven Chief Marketing Officer to lead the full scope of our marketing organization. This is a seat at the executive table — a rare opportunity to define and scale the marketing strategy of a high-growth, purpose-driven brand operating at the intersection of health, wellness, supplements, and beauty. The right candidate brings deep expertise across brand, digital, social, paid media, partnership marketing, and retail and wholesale channel development, with a proven track record of building loyal communities and driving meaningful revenue growth in the direct-to-consumer and CPG space. This role reports directly to the CEO and is one of the most closely partnered positions in the company. The CEO is deeply embedded in the brand — serving as its primary voice, vision-setter, and educator — and the CMO must be a trusted extension of that leadership. You will work side by side with the CEO on brand direction, content and educational programming, podcast strategy, and the overall vision for how Just Ingredients communicates its mission to the world. This is not a role for someone who operates independently of that vision — it requires genuine alignment, strong chemistry, and a shared belief in what this brand stands for and where it is going. You are a bold, data-informed leader who can think at the strategic level while staying close enough to execution to inspire your team and hold the bar high. You understand the modern health and wellness consumer deeply, you know how to build a brand that earns trust, and you know how to scale it efficiently across every channel — from DTC e-commerce to retail shelf and wholesale accounts. Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior marketing leadership role (VP of Marketing, CMO, or equivalent)
  • A track record of thriving in a high-trust, high-alignment working relationship with a founder or CEO — someone who can absorb a leader’s vision, amplify it, and build the systems that bring it to life at scale
  • Experience supporting or collaborating on thought leadership content, podcasts, educational programming, or founder-led brand storytelling in the health, wellness, or lifestyle space
  • Proven experience in the health and wellness, supplement, beauty, or CPG/DTC industry — with a deep understanding of the clean-label consumer and the competitive landscape
  • Demonstrated ability to build and scale a full-stack marketing organization across brand, digital, social, paid media, partnerships, and retail and wholesale channel marketing
  • Direct experience leading retail and wholesale marketing initiatives, including trade marketing, retail media, account-specific programming, and omnichannel go-to-market strategy
  • Strong command of performance marketing metrics — including CAC, LTV, ROAS, MER, and contribution margin — with the ability to connect marketing activity to business outcomes
  • Hands-on experience leading affiliate programs, influencer marketing, and TikTok Shop or social commerce strategies at scale
  • Track record of building and activating meaningful sports, brand, and channel partnerships that deliver measurable growth
  • Experience leading event marketing strategy, from large-scale expos to branded consumer activations
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills — you attract strong talent, develop it, and build cultures of accountability and creativity
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to influence at the board and CEO level and inspire at the team level
  • Data-driven decision-maker who balances analytical rigor with creative instinct and brand intuition
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the CEO and serve as the most closely partnered marketing leader in the company — operating with a high degree of trust, alignment, and shared ownership of the brand’s vision and growth trajectory
  • Collaborate daily with the CEO on brand direction, messaging, educational content, podcast strategy, and the broader vision for how Just Ingredients communicates its mission and values to the world
  • Translate the CEO’s vision and voice into scalable marketing strategies, content programs, and brand campaigns that resonate authentically with the Just Ingredients community
  • Support and amplify the CEO’s role as the brand’s primary educator and spokesperson — building marketing systems and content infrastructure that extend that voice across every channel and audience
  • Own and drive the company’s overall marketing vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with the CEO and executive leadership team
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing marketing organization across brand, digital, social, paid media, partnerships, and retail — setting clear goals, accountability structures, and a culture of excellence
  • Translate business objectives into integrated marketing strategies that deliver measurable growth across customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value
  • Serve as the brand’s senior marketing voice in board, investor, and cross-functional executive conversations
  • Establish and manage the full marketing budget, allocating resources with precision to maximize return across all channels and initiatives
  • Define and own marketing KPIs, reporting cadences, and performance frameworks that keep the organization aligned and moving forward
  • Define and steward the Just Ingredients brand identity — including positioning, voice, visual standards, and messaging architecture — across supplements and beauty product lines
  • Lead brand strategy for both existing product categories and new launches, ensuring consistency, clarity, and emotional resonance with the health and wellness consumer
  • Oversee the development of brand campaigns that build awareness, deepen trust, and differentiate Just Ingredients in a crowded market
  • Champion clean-label, ingredient-transparency values as a core brand pillar and ensure those values are authentically reflected in every consumer touchpoint
  • Drive packaging, creative, and content standards that reflect premium brand positioning while remaining accessible and mission-aligned
  • Lead consumer research, brand health tracking, and competitive analysis to inform brand evolution and protect brand equity over time
  • Lead the digital marketing strategy across all owned and earned channels — including email, SMS, SEO, website, and content marketing — to drive traffic, conversion, and retention
  • Partner with the e-commerce and product teams to optimize the full digital consumer journey from awareness through purchase and repurchase
  • Own and evolve the company’s CRM and lifecycle marketing strategy, including segmentation, personalization, and retention program design
  • Drive continuous improvement through A/B testing, funnel analysis, and data-driven experimentation across digital touchpoints
  • Ensure the brand’s digital presence reflects current positioning and delivers a seamless, on-brand consumer experience across all platforms
  • Oversee SEO/SEM strategy and content programming to build long-term organic authority in the health, wellness, and beauty space
  • Lead the social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, and emerging platforms — with a focus on community building, education, and brand authenticity
  • Develop and oversee a content strategy that reflects Just Ingredients’ clean-label mission, engages health-conscious consumers, and drives measurable growth in reach and engagement
  • Build and manage an in-house social content team and creator ecosystem, establishing clear content calendars, production workflows, and performance benchmarks
  • Champion user-generated content (UGC) and community-driven storytelling as a core growth and trust-building mechanism
  • Stay ahead of platform algorithm changes, content trends, and emerging formats to ensure Just Ingredients remains culturally relevant and competitively positioned
  • Align social media programming with product launches, seasonal campaigns, and brand moments to maximize impact and reach
  • Own the paid media strategy and budget across Meta, Google, TikTok, YouTube, programmatic, and emerging ad platforms — optimizing for customer acquisition cost (CAC), return on ad spend (ROAS), and revenue growth
  • Lead a team of paid media specialists and/or agency partners, setting performance expectations and holding teams accountable to efficiency and scale targets
  • Develop a full-funnel paid media approach that supports both direct response objectives and longer-term brand awareness goals
  • Drive creative strategy for paid channels in close collaboration with brand and content teams, ensuring ad creative is both on-brand and conversion-optimized
  • Leverage data, attribution modeling, and incrementality testing to make smart budget allocation decisions and continuously improve media efficiency
  • Monitor and respond to paid media performance in real time, scaling what works and pivoting quickly when it doesn’t
  • Own the go-to-market strategy for Just Ingredients’ retail and wholesale channel expansion — defining how the brand shows up on shelf, in-store, and across wholesale partner platforms in a way that is consistent with the DTC brand experience
  • Lead the development of retail-specific marketing strategies that drive product discovery, trial, and repeat purchase in brick-and-mortar and omnichannel retail environments, including natural, specialty, and mass wellness retailers
  • Partner with sales leadership to support wholesale account acquisition and growth, providing marketing assets, promotional programming, and co-op marketing plans that equip retail partners to sell effectively
  • Develop and execute trade marketing strategies including in-store displays, end-cap programs, shelf talkers, sampling initiatives, and retailer-specific promotional events that elevate brand visibility at the point of purchase
  • Build and maintain strong marketing relationships with key retail and wholesale account partners — including buyers, category managers, and retail marketing teams — to secure preferred placement, promotional support, and collaborative marketing opportunities
  • Oversee the creation of retail-ready packaging, planogram compliance assets, and channel-specific creative that meet retailer requirements while preserving brand integrity
  • Lead the strategy for retailer digital shelf presence, including product content optimization on retailer websites (Amazon, Target.com, Whole Foods Market online, etc.), sponsored product advertising, and retailer media network activations
  • Develop launch marketing playbooks for new retail accounts and channel entries, coordinating cross-functionally with supply chain, sales, and product teams to ensure flawless execution from first shipment to in-store activation
  • Track and report on retail and wholesale marketing performance — including sell-through rates, retail velocity, promotional ROI, and market share — using data to optimize channel investment and inform future strategy
  • Monitor competitive activity in retail channels, including pricing, placement, promotional spend, and new product entries, and use those insights to sharpen Just Ingredients’ positioning and retail marketing approach
  • Oversee the affiliate marketing program, including creator recruitment, commission structure, performance tracking, and program optimization to drive efficient, scalable revenue
  • Lead TikTok Shop and TikTok affiliate strategy — identifying, onboarding, and managing a network of aligned creators who authentically represent the Just Ingredients brand and product portfolio
  • Develop TikTok-native content strategies that drive both organic discovery and affiliate-driven conversion at scale
  • Establish clear affiliate performance benchmarks and build reporting systems that surface ROI across creator tiers and content types
  • Identify, negotiate, and activate sports partnerships — including athlete sponsorships, team relationships, and league or event integrations — that align with Just Ingredients’ performance nutrition and wellness positioning
  • Build an athlete ambassador program that leverages credible, mission-aligned sports figures to drive brand awareness, trust, and product trial across target audiences
  • Develop co-branded content, social activations, and product partnerships with sports partners that deliver measurable brand and commercial value
  • Manage sports partnership budgets and contracts, evaluating performance and renewal decisions with a clear ROI framework
  • Develop and manage strategic brand partnerships with complementary health, wellness, fitness, and beauty brands that expand Just Ingredients’ audience and reinforce brand positioning
  • Lead co-marketing initiatives, including joint campaigns, product collaborations, cross-promotional programs, and co-branded content that drive mutual growth
  • Evaluate partnership opportunities through a structured lens of brand alignment, audience fit, and commercial potential — ensuring every partnership meaningfully advances business objectives
  • Negotiate partnership agreements and manage ongoing partner relationships with professionalism, clarity, and a long-term orientation
  • Own the event marketing strategy for Just Ingredients, including trade shows, consumer expos, wellness conferences, fitness events, and branded experiential activations
  • Lead the planning, execution, and post-event evaluation of all brand presence at external events, ensuring consistent brand experience and clear ROI objectives
  • Develop and execute Just Ingredients’ own branded events and community experiences that deepen customer loyalty, generate content, and drive product trial
  • Build relationships with key event organizers, industry associations, and wellness community platforms to secure high-visibility partnership and sponsorship opportunities
