About The Position

Hugg and Hall Equipment Company is looking for someone with strong business acumen, executive technology leadership, and a pragmatic focus on execution and outcomes to lead our IT departments as Chief Information Officer. We are a full-service equipment company specializing in industrial and construction equipment since 1956. The Chief Information Officer is responsible for leading the company's information technology strategy, operations, and data environment to enable business performance, scalability, and operational excellence. The CIO ensures the reliability, security, and effectiveness of enterprise systems while aligning technology investments with business priorities. This role is the executive lead for a major digital transformation, specifically driving the selection and implementation of a modern, best-of-breed ERP to replace legacy systems over an 18-36 month horizon.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise IT or information systems.
• Proven success managing enterprise systems (ERP, financial systems, operational platforms).
• Deep expertise in IT operations, infrastructure, data governance, and cybersecurity.
• Experience improving business processes through system optimization and integration.
• Strong vendor management and IT financial management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field required.
• Proven track record leading large-scale ERP implementations preferably in industrial, equipment rental, or distribution environments.
• Specific experience navigating the transition from legacy, on-premises ERP environments to modern, cloud-native ERP solutions.

Nice To Haves

• MBA preferred.
• Prefer demonstrated experience in BPR, particularly in environments with complex inventory management, field service, or distributed service operations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Executive Council to ensure systems, data, and reporting support business unit performance.
• Serve as the executive lead for the selection and end-to-end implementation of a modern, best-of-breed ERP, managing the lifecycle from discovery and BPR through go-live and stabilization.
• Lead enterprise technology transformation and operations. Build a PMO to guide the move from legacy ERP to a modern platform, managing budgets, timelines, risks, vendors, and organizational change. Improve and integrate core systems and workflows across field service, parts inventory, rental, finance, and mobile operations.
• Strengthen data, security, and IT leadership. Establish data and reporting standards, expand analytics and automation, and oversee cybersecurity, compliance, and business continuity. Develop the IT team and partner with business leaders to keep systems reliable and aligned with operational needs.
