About The Position

The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for all Financial activities within Fibreworks Composites LLC (FWC) including the preparation of management and statutory financial information and compliance with tax and other regulations. Key business partner for the CEO and DBS. Assists other managers in general business matters and decision making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, accounting or business Administration.
  • A proven track record of experience and competence in financial management of a manufacturing company.
  • Working knowledge of financial and accounting concepts.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial statement presentation and accounting systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Extensive knowledge on accounting software and its reporting capabilities, including presenting informative and time sensitive information to senior management and Officers.
  • Extensive Mergers and Acquisition experience and preparing the business in conjunction with the Finance Team to ensure a smooth due diligence should that event happen.
  • Extensive knowledge on scaling a business for growth and leveraging working capital effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex and/or diverse information, and analyze and research data.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and conduct self in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrate excellent project management skills, and be able to manage multiple priorities in a stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products, organization skills, oral and written communication skills and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness and ability to quickly learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities.
  • Computer with Microsoft Office Suite of products.
  • “Power User” of accounting systems and spreadsheet tools.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or lawful Permanent Resident in compliance with ITAR regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Public Accountant designation preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and leads the operations for the accounting department to produce accurate, timely internal financial statements and forecasts on a monthly and annual basis.
  • Oversees, in conjunction with Profitability Manager and Profitability Analyst, the preparation and delivery of operations reports which include relevant KPI’s, product revenues, costs and margins and other information to assess operating performance utilizing MRP/ERP system.
  • Develops and coordinates the preparation of the annual budget and forward-looking financial plans in order to illustrate the expected long-term financial performance of the business resulting from agreed strategies with Officers.
  • Ensures the maintenance of accurate and sufficient financial records:
  • Monitors the accuracy of payroll, taxes and filings according to regulatory requirements and law.
  • Oversees and monitors the accuracy of accounts payable and accounts receivable in accordance with credit terms, contractual terms etc.
  • Assists Financial Controller on timely completion of monthly, quarterly and annually reconciliations of all key balance sheet accounts.
  • Provides oversight of accounting processes to ensure that the ledgers are accurate and that errors or miss-postings are corrected in a timely manner.
  • Maintains fixed asset registers including separate US tax depreciation records.
  • Responsible for establishing adequate and robust internal control systems which are appropriate for a business of FWC’s size from time to time
  • Key contact (along with Financial Controller) for banking and other third-party relationships such as Community Outreach (Economic Development, tax/grant incentives, etc.) including key advisers.
  • Develops, supervises and evaluates performance of finance staff.
  • Keeps abreast of changes in tax laws and other laws affecting business operations.
  • Develops and implements key policies and processes to address general business needs.
  • Other duties as assigned by CEO and DBS.
