The Opportunity Multiview is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our Finance organization as we scale. Reporting directly to CEO Mike Johnson, the CFO will join the senior leadership team at a pivotal moment in our evolution, helping drive the financial strategy behind our next phase of growth. This role is designed for a strategic yet hands-on leader who understands SaaS economics, enjoys the discipline of forecasting and modeling, and can strengthen the financial infrastructure required for a fast-growing organization. The ideal candidate has experience helping a technology or SaaS company scale from ~200 to 500+ people. We are headquartered in Ottawa, Canada with portion of our revenue in the United States—so cross‑border finance leadership is highly valuable. Requirements

  • CPA designation required.
  • 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, ideally within SaaS or subscription-based technology.
  • Experience helping a company scale from roughly 200 to 400+ employees (or similar complexity growth).
  • Experience leading cross-border (Canada + U.S.) financial operations.
  • Skilled in FX risk assessment and hedging strategies.
  • Hands-on expertise in accounting, FP&A, reporting, tax, and audit.
  • Experience managing banking, private debt, or private equity relationships.
  • A passionate “numbers person” who loves forecasting, modeling, and financial clarity.
  • Strategic thinker willing to roll up their sleeves with strong operational execution.
  • High ethical standards, highly collaborative, values-oriented, and transparent.
  • Sound risk judgment with a strong instinct for identifying vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance, and building proactive controls.
  • Excellent communicator with sounds executive judgment.
  • Comfortable leading in a remote-first environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and senior leadership team, influencing company direction and resource allocation.
  • As a member of the executive team, contribute meaningfully to decisions across the business to drive long term results for our stakeholders.
  • Lead long-range planning, annual budgeting, and forecasting with a high degree of accuracy and discipline.
  • Improve revenue predictability and build mature forecasting models.
  • Partner with Product and GTM leadership to evolve pricing strategies (SaaS era -> AI era).
  • Oversee accounting, reporting, and audit functions with exceptional accuracy and transparency.
  • Strengthen internal controls and financial governance.
  • Optimize cash flow, capital structure, and balance sheet health to support agile growth.
  • Advance automation and financial systems for a scaling SaaS environment.
  • Manage and providing guidance on U.S. and Canadian financial compliance, tax, and reporting.
  • Manage FX and hedging strategies.
  • Develop and maintain discipline around KPIs.
  • Partner with GTM leaders to support predictable, efficient ARR growth.
  • Maintain strong banking, private debt, and advisor relationships.
  • Bring experience with private equity, private credit, or capital markets—even though future fundraising is not anticipated.
  • Manage financial risk and ensure strategic alignment in external interactions.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team.
  • Drive a culture of transparency, accountability, and analytical rigor.
  • Elevate financial literacy across the organization and bring a “numbers-first” mindset.
