About The Position

Global K9 Protection Group LLC is seeking a dedicated and passionate Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to be an integral part of the Team. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-growth, operationally complex company at a pivotal moment in its development. The CFO will serve as the organization's financial architect, overseeing all fiscal operations, providing strategic counsel to the CEO, and building scalable financial infrastructure to support GK9's expanding government contracting portfolio and international footprint. The ideal candidate brings experience in private equity-owned operations, working with federal oversight bodies, multi-entity international finance issues, and the operational grit to thrive inside a fast-moving, mission-focused company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA strongly preferred
  • Minimum 12 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years at the CFO or VP Finance level
  • Proven track record managing multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction accounting and financial operations
  • International financial management experience, including statutory compliance in at least one European jurisdiction
  • Excellent executive communication skills — able to translate financial complexity into clear, actionable insight for the CEO, Board, and operational leaders

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in security services, defense contracting, staffing, or other labor-intensive government contract industries
  • Familiarity with TSA/DHS contractor financial compliance and workforce-based cost structures
  • Experience supporting or participating in M&A transactions — due diligence, integration, or post-close reporting
  • Prior experience with HRIS/ERP platform evaluation, selection, or implementation

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the CEO's primary financial advisor; partner with the Board of Directors on capital structure, financial strategy, and long-range planning
  • Lead annual budgeting, multi-year financial modeling, and performance forecasting across all business units and geographies
  • Drive analysis of M&A opportunities, contract bids, and new market entry — providing rigorous financial diligence and scenario modeling
  • Develop and monitor key financial and operational performance metrics; present monthly reporting packages and quarterly board financial summaries
  • Manage contract revenue recognition (ASC 606), cost accounting, and billing in accordance with government contracting standards
  • Partner with Business Development and Operations to price new contract bids competitively and profitably
  • Ensure readiness for Financial, banking, and other regulatory audits and or inquiries
  • Oversee all accounting functions including GL, AP/AR, payroll (multi-state), and financial statement preparation
  • Design, implement, and maintain a robust internal control environment; ensure SOX-equivalent financial controls appropriate for the company's scale
  • Manage external audit relationships, tax strategy, and regulatory filings across all U.S. operating states
  • Maintain compliance with multi-jurisdictional employment tax obligations across 24+ U.S. locations
  • Direct financial operations for GK9 entities in the United Kingdom, Netherlands, and Belgium — including statutory reporting, local tax compliance, treasury, and currency management
  • Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, bonding capacity, and working capital to support operational and growth needs
  • Optimize cash flow across domestic and international entities; lead foreign exchange risk management strategy
  • Evaluate and execute financing strategies (debt, equity, surety) aligned with GK9's capital allocation priorities
  • Lead and develop the finance and accounting team; build bench strength and a culture of rigor, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Own the HRIS/ERP financial module strategy, including evaluation of scalable platforms that support multi-state payroll, international consolidation, and government cost accounting
  • Champion financial system upgrades and automation that reduce manual processes and improve reporting velocity
