CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER PHO

Covenant HealthCare•Kochville Township, MI

About The Position

The Physician Chief Executive Officer of Covenant HealthCare Partners, Inc. is a part-time physician executive providing strategic leadership for the CIN/PHO. The role advances the strategic pillars of Deliver Value, Engage Providers, and Grow Strategically, with emphasis on overall strategic direction, high-level payer and value-based care strategy, Board relations, physician network growth and engagement, physician leadership development, and senior physician leadership presence. The Physician CEO maintains strong collaborative and dotted-line relationships with the Hospital CFO and PO President and provides direction to existing operational leadership. This position does not include day-to-day CMO clinical duties or operational execution. Existing operational leadership owns day-to-day population health, care management, quality, utilization, data and analytics, contracting support, and practice transformation. Clinical strategy and quality leadership are coordinated with any designated Chief Medical Officer. The Physician CEO focuses on physician credibility, strategic alignment across hospital, PO, and CHP leadership teams, and high-level external representation. The time commitment averages three days per week and is intentionally limited to strategic work so the role remains sustainable for a practicing or recently practicing physician leader. The position does not include direct patient care; any clinical practice would be separate from the CHP role.
