About The Position

Encompass Health is seeking a Hospital Chief Executive Officer to lead one of its inpatient rehabilitation hospitals. The CEO provides leadership to support seamless hospital operations and financial stability, while advancing the organization’s mission and ensuring the hospital meets its objectives. The role includes overseeing performance, patient census, and community marketing, and fostering an inclusive, supportive workplace and patient environment. The CEO works in a growing national healthcare organization alongside a team focused on compassionate care.

Requirements

• Five years of management experience in the healthcare industry, including at least 2–3 years in a senior management position.
• A master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related healthcare field is preferred; alternatively, a bachelor’s degree with work experience equivalent to a master’s degree.
• For the equivalent-experience alternative, experience may be demonstrated through responsibilities including hospital operations, budget development and oversight, marketing for volume growth and program development, FTE management, expense control, policy and procedure development and implementation, and process development for regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, Governing Board and Medical Staff policies and procedures, and Joint Commission standards.

• Oversee hospital operations and continuously assess and improve hospital performance.
• Take responsibility for patient census and participate in marketing hospital services within the community.
