About The Position

Industrious is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the company through its next phase of growth. The CEO will report to Jamie Hodari, co-founder and leader of CBRE's Building Operations & Experience segment, and will have full Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility for Industrious. This role requires balancing profitable growth and unit economics with leveraging CBRE's scale, all while maintaining Industrious's distinct, experience-led culture. The CEO will operate within a global public company while preserving the agility and warmth of a founder-led business, requiring a high degree of "altitude control" to navigate between strategy and detail, culture and economics, and integration and independence.

Requirements

  • Track record of building high-trust, low-ego environments that deliver results and create psychological safety without lowering standards.
  • Genuine financial fluency, with the ability to reason through unit-level profitability and capital-allocation trade-offs.
  • Experience scaling a service-led platform with both commercial rigor and product imagination.
  • Demonstrated boldness in reshaping business models.
  • Comfort working alongside a founder and within a large matrix organization.
  • Ability to influence without needing total autonomy.
  • Commercial credibility at the highest level.
  • Low ego, high impact: confidence with humility, decisiveness without performance.
  • Curiosity and the ability to admit when you don't know, while quickly building a path forward.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct sector experience is welcome but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Set the long-term growth strategy for Industrious, including expansion pace, partnership structures, go-to-market integration with CBRE, and product evolution.
  • Manage full P&L performance, focusing on revenue growth, margin expansion, utilization, and disciplined capital-light scaling.
  • Develop the commercial architecture to leverage CBRE's enterprise and landlord relationships into scaled, repeatable programs that align incentives.
  • Serve as the chief steward of Industrious's culture, ensuring its warmth, intellectual rigor, humility, and high standards are maintained and scaled without dilution.
  • Build and develop the leadership team to operate at greater scale while retaining entrepreneurial intensity.
  • Lead Industrious through its next chapter, reporting to Jamie Hodari and holding full P&L responsibility.
  • Set the strategic direction of Industrious within the wider CBRE portfolio.
  • Accelerate profitable growth and strengthen unit economics.
  • Turn CBRE's scale into real commercial leverage.
  • Keep Industrious culturally distinct and experience-led.
  • Operate inside a global public company while protecting the velocity and warmth of a business that still feels founder-built.
  • Manage the team of around a thousand employees, upholding the promise of good work conditions without compromising the love for the work itself.
  • Engage enterprise clients and landlord partners, articulate a differentiated vision, and turn relationships into outcomes.

Benefits

  • Heavily subsidised medical, dental, and vision plans
  • Flexible paid time off
  • Paid parental leave
  • Annual professional development grants
  • 401(k) retirement savings program
  • Wellness initiatives and additional employee support programs
