About The Position

The Chief, Dash 1-6 Projects leads the Project Engineering organization responsible for engineering execution governance, integrated planning, and program coordination across DHC development, modification, and sustaining activities. As both a people leader and engineering domain owner, the role establishes execution standards, develops organizational capability, and ensures alignment between engineering delivery, certification objectives, and program commitments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems, Materials, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Progressive aerospace engineering experience supporting aircraft development, certification, production, modification, or sustaining activities.
  • Strong understanding of Transport Canada, FAA, and EASA regulatory requirements applicable to the role.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capability.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensing as a Professional Engineer in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Project Engineering organization across multiple aircraft programs.
  • Establish engineering execution governance processes including schedule integration, resource forecasting, and milestone tracking.
  • Coordinate engineering activities across technical disciplines and program organizations.
  • Provide leadership visibility into engineering risks, staffing constraints, and recovery plans.
  • Support major program reviews including PDR, CDR, TRR, and certification readiness activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement in engineering planning, reporting, and execution discipline.
