About The Position

Vibra Healthcare is seeking a Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) to join their team at Vibra Hospital of Northern California in Redding, CA. This is a leadership role responsible for directing and facilitating nursing and clinical services. The hospital is a 50-bed Critical Care Hospital and a 32-bed SNF providing long-term acute care for patients with medically complex conditions. The role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, friendly environment where staff can get to know patients and their families.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing, Health Administration, or a related field – such as Public Health or Business Administration is required.
  • Candidates enrolled in an applicable master’s program may be considered if they provide a written plan to complete the degree within two years.
  • Five (5) years experience in a Nursing Management position supervising the delivery of patient care required.
  • Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from a Vibra-approved vendor required.
  • Valid driver’s license may be required where work is provided in multiple sites.
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
  • Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in LTAC preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Directing and facilitating the activities of nursing and clinical services.
  • Assuming an active leadership role in the hospital’s decision-making structure and process.
  • Ensuring and facilitating competence of the clinical staff.
  • Ensuring appropriate staffing for patient care.
  • Overseeing clinical program development.
  • Developing hospital-wide systems, policies, and procedures designed to meet patient care needs.
  • Having overall responsibility and accountability for the development of staffing plans.
  • Overseeing the development and implementation of departmental budgets.
  • Planning for the appropriate utilization of resources.
  • Maintaining or improving the work environment.
  • Monitoring and improving the quality and appropriateness of care.
  • Assuring appropriate staff for patient acuity.
  • Working closely with Physicians to address patient care needs and enhance patient care systems.
  • Promoting the facility through active involvement and participation in external and internal activities concerning health care services.
