About The Position
Senior Helpers of North Hudson is seeking compassionate Certified Homemaker-Home Health Aides (CHHAs) who are reliable, kind-hearted, and passionate about helping seniors live their best lives at home. The role involves providing companionship, assisting with daily living activities, medication reminders, light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and accompanying clients to appointments or errands. The company emphasizes a heartwarming, family-like environment where caregivers feel appreciated and supported. Hiring is limited to residents of New Jersey.
Requirements
- Active NJ CHHA license (required)
- CPR certification (preferred)
- High school diploma or GED
- Cleared background check
- Reliable transportation (a car is not required!)
- A genuine love for seniors, reliability, and a caring spirit
Nice To Haves
- Current TB test
Responsibilities
- Offer companionship and meaningful conversation
- Support daily living activities like bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and oral hygiene
- Assist with walking, mobility, and transfers
- Medication reminders (no administration)
- Light housekeeping, laundry, and meal prep
- Accompany clients to appointments or errands (public transportation is fine!)
- Communicate client updates with the care team
