About The Position
Senior Helpers of North Hudson is seeking compassionate Certified Homemaker-Home Health Aides (CHHAs) who are reliable, kind-hearted, and passionate about helping seniors live their best lives at home. This role involves providing support for daily living activities, companionship, and light housekeeping. Hiring is limited to residents of New Jersey.
Requirements
- Active NJ CHHA license (required)
- Current TB test
- High school diploma or GED
- Cleared background check
- Reliable transportation (a car is not required!)
- A genuine love for seniors, reliability, and a caring spirit
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Offer companionship and meaningful conversation
- Support daily living activities like bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and oral hygiene
- Assist with walking, mobility, and transfers
- Medication reminders (no administration)
- Light housekeeping, laundry, and meal prep
- Accompany clients to appointments or errands
- Communicate client updates with the care team
