About The Position
Senior Helpers of North Hudson is seeking compassionate Certified Homemaker-Home Health Aides (CHHAs) who are reliable, kind-hearted, and passionate about helping seniors live their best lives at home. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in someone's life, providing companionship and support for daily living activities in a heartwarming, family-like environment. Hiring is limited to residents of New Jersey.
Requirements
- Active NJ CHHA license (required)
- CPR certification (preferred)
- High school diploma or GED
- Cleared background check
- Reliable transportation (a car is not required!)
- A genuine love for seniors, reliability, and a caring spirit
Nice To Haves
- Current TB test
Responsibilities
- Offer companionship and meaningful conversation
- Support daily living activities like bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and oral hygiene
- Assist with walking, mobility, and transfers
- Medication reminders (no administration)
- Light housekeeping, laundry, and meal prep
- Accompany clients to appointments or errands (public transportation is fine!)
- Communicate client updates with the care team
