CHEVY A TECHNICIAN (Up to $15k Sign On Bonus)
About The Position
Ron Marhofer Automall Group is hiring a top-tier master automotive technician for Marhofer Chevrolet in Stow, Ohio. The role delivers expert diagnostics and repairs across vehicle systems, mentors junior technicians, and upholds factory repair standards. Compensation is listed at $30.00–$41.00 per hour, with a retention-based 2026 sign-on bonus of up to $15,000, depending on technician tier. Bonus payments are scheduled at 30 days (25%), 6 months (25%), and 12 months (50%), and are paid on the 15th of the month following tier completion. B- and C-level technicians may receive an equivalent non-taxed tool allowance instead of the listed bonus.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 5 years of professional automotive repair experience.
- ASE Certification and Manufacturer Certification.
- Ability to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, suspension, brake, and electrical systems.
- Maintain ASE certifications A1–A9 covering engine, transmission, drive train, suspension, brakes, electrical, HVAC, engine performance, and light vehicle diesel engines.
- Valid driver's license with a clean record.
- Ability to operate manual and automatic vehicles.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Associate degree or completion of an accredited Automotive Technology program.
- Ongoing manufacturer-specific and factory training certifications.
- Dealership-level experience leading a shop or mentoring technicians.
- Advanced diesel engine repair experience.

Responsibilities
- Lead as Shop Leader and mentor junior technicians to support their professional growth and development.
- Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, suspension, brake, electrical, HVAC, and diesel systems.
- Perform thorough multi-point vehicle inspections.
- Provide accurate labor estimates.
- Document repairs and diagnostics accurately.
- Ensure repairs meet factory specifications and quality standards.
