About The Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position for UND students only. The role supports the chemistry department's stockroom to manage the demands of teaching labs during the academic year. Lab assistants will receive proper lab safety training before starting.

Requirements

• Knowledge of basic scientific concepts
• Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
• In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
• This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment.

Responsibilities

• Setting up teaching labs
• Prepare chemicals
• Keep stockroom inventory
• Issue supplies and equipment to students at the window
• Wash glassware
• Some evenings may be needed to man the window for students to approach
