About The Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position for University of North Dakota (UND) students. The role supports the chemistry department's stockroom operations to manage the demands of teaching labs during the academic year. All assistants will receive proper lab safety training before starting.

Requirements

• Ability to complete work within a given time frame
• Good communication skills
• Ability to keep an organized and neat work area.
• Knowledge of basic scientific concepts
• Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
• Must be enrolled at UND

Nice To Haves

• General knowledge of chemistry
• Completion of one or more chemistry course

Responsibilities

• Setting up teaching labs
• Prepare chemicals
• Keep stockroom inventory
• Issue supplies and equipment to students at the window
• Wash glassware
• Some evenings may be needed to man the window for students to approach
