About The Position

ExxonMobil is seeking a Chemical Technician located in Alexander, North Dakota. Chemical Technicians play a key role in maintaining chemical pumps and H2S scavenging equipment. The position involves field safety and environmental stewardship, chemical injection optimization, equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, and coordination with production, electrical, construction, and other teams. The role also requires compliance with company policies and applicable state and federal regulations.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record.
• Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and a background check.
• Ability to work outside and alone.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• High mechanical aptitude, critical-thinking ability, and troubleshooting skills.

• Knowledge of chemicals used in oil and gas production.
• Experience with wellsite facility process equipment.

• Experience with H2S scavenging equipment, including bubble towers, UltraFabs, Blue Bullets, and static mixers.

Responsibilities

• Steward field safety and environmental initiatives and oversee contractors in the assigned area.
• Adjust and optimize chemical injection rates based on production volumes or H2S readings.
• Perform pump and equipment maintenance and general housekeeping to maintain reliability.
• Troubleshoot and repair field equipment, including chemical pumps, atomizers, and UltraFabs.
• Coordinate maintenance and facility repairs with multiple teams.
• Comply with company policies and state and federal regulations.
• Adhere to ExxonMobil safety programs.
• Communicate with production, electrical, and construction teams.
