About The Position

The Process Engineering Technician assists manufacturing, engineering and quality departments. The Technician may assist manufacturing with process elements or process and quality engineers with the testing and gathering of data on various elements of the printed circuit board manufacturing process. Technicians will undergo chemical handling training prior to the start of performing these duties and will actively participate in ongoing hazardous waste and chemical handling training.

Ability to read, write and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Strong desire and willingness to learn
Familiar with PC applications
Associate’s Degree (or in final stages of completion) in Engineering, Chemistry, or Manufacturing; or equivalent experience required.
Strong math skills, especially statistics
Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.

Responsibilities

Responsible for assuring manufacturing process is running per procedure or conducting engineering tests
Monitors manufacturing process or performs failure analysis for engineering or quality
Takes measurements for process control or gathers measurement data for engineering
Re-writes documentation to update new practices or writes and prepares reports for engineering or quality
Responds to data on process control charts or maintains material movement spreadsheets and reports results
Runs tests through production process line or assists process engineer with evaluating data
Responsible for all processes within manufacturing and/or support the efforts of engineers
Perform process control activities such as measuring product or performing tests
Follow all safety measures when handling chemicals and hazardous waste with regard to use, mixing and disposing chemicals
