About The Position

As a Chemical Operator at PPG Mojave, CA plant, you will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring that a quality product is available to our customers when they need them. You will report to a Production Supervisor. Your work will directly affect people's lives! Requirements

Able to work in any area of the department.
Manually lift to 50 LBS.
Flexible to be pulled from one job to the next and then go back to first job as needed.
Able to work using a respirator.
For men, must be clean shaven to wear PPE (respirator).
Able to climb fixed ladders, portable ladders, extension ladders.
Able to work overtime as necessary.
Able to stand/sit for long periods and frequently use stairs, catwalks, and ladders.

Start up and stop equipment.

Able to follow documented step-by-step instructions and accurately document completion of each step.
Work with equipment following set safety procedure, including working with hazardous chemicals, laboratory, and other devices.
Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Perform basic quality and process checks.
