About The Position

This role is responsible for measuring chemicals and raw materials to specific requirements per batch instructions. The Chemical Preparer will work with the production schedule to ensure efficient use of blenders, meet production expectations, fill customer orders, and meet shipping requirements. The position also involves advising the supervisor of problems or low stock levels, maintaining a neat work area, reporting production losses and spills, and initiating actions to prevent non-conformities. Compliance with QMS, EHS, IMS, and other company policies is required, along with support for the Safety Committee. The role also includes operating a forklift or other transporting equipment safely and effectively, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • No prior experience or training.

  • Demonstrates accepted ethical and professional business behavior.
  • Executes ISO authority and responsibility.
  • Completes and maintains all required training.
  • Reports suspected violations, including those of a business associate.
  • Observes all safety procedures, reports potentially unsafe conditions, and uses and maintains equipment and materials properly.

Responsibilities

  • Properly weighs chemicals and raw materials as specified on the batch card.
  • Accurately and efficiently maintains chemicals and raw materials.
  • Work with production schedule to maintain efficient use of blenders, meet production expectations, fill customer orders, and meet shipping requirements.
  • Advise the supervisor of problems or low stock levels of raw materials.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
  • Report production lost and spills to the supervisor.
  • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process, and quality system.
  • Ensure compliance with the QMS, EHS, IMS, and other company policies.
  • Provide support to the Safety Committee.
  • Operate forklift or other transporting equipment safely and effectively.
  • Other duties as assigned.
