EMD Electronics is seeking a Chemical Operator I to join their team. This role is crucial for the daily production duties within an assigned production area, ensuring the optimal operation of equipment while maintaining full compliance with operating instructions, company policies, and procedures. The position also assures the safe and environmentally compliant operation of production processes. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of manufacturing process experience
  • 6+ months of experience operating a forklift
  • External applicants must be eligible to work in the US. This role does not offer sponsorship for work authorization.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of manufacturing process experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
  • Associate degree in any discipline
  • Leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Technical knowledge in chemical manufacturing environment
  • SPC experience
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Exposure to Lean Six Sigma and ISO certification.

Responsibilities

  • Performing daily production duties in the assigned production area.
  • Ensuring optimum operation of equipment by maintaining full compliance with operating instructions and company policies and procedures.
  • Assuring the safe and environmentally compliant operation of production processes.
  • Participating in process performance analysis and improvements within areas of responsibility.
  • Assisting other shift members by performing normal operator duties.
  • Packing containers.
  • Material handling.
  • Coordinating chemical transfers from vessel to vessel through filtration processes.
  • Maintaining technical databases, as requested, by Lead Operators and/or Production Management.
  • Reviewing shift notes and providing detailed information of production status during shift turnovers for assigned areas.
  • Providing on-the-job training to Chemical Operator I classification, as requested, by Production Management.
