About The Position
Carrier is seeking a motivated, results-oriented college student for a summer 2027 internship. The internship provides practical, challenging, and meaningful on-the-job experience, allowing the intern to apply their knowledge and contribute to Carrier’s business strategy. The role focuses on materials testing, documentation, sample preparation and handling, and continuous improvement while maintaining a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities
- Maintain detailed testing records, including measurements of test solutions, environmental conditions, and equipment status.
- Organize test documents and provide summarized reports to engineers or internal customers.
- Perform additional sample preparation, metallography, and microscopy of tested samples as needed.
- Coordinate documentation, return to customers, and/or storage of tested samples.
- Assist with continuous improvement efforts to increase test reliability and acceleration.
- Maintain a safe working environment and follow procedures and personal protective equipment requirements.
