Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Ability to obtain a TWIC card is required
  • Basic computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing or chemical plant operations is preferred
  • Chemical operations background/experience is preferred
  • Strong safety awareness mindset

  • Ability to handle and work with highly hazardous chemicals
  • Ability to wear and work in full body PPE (personal protective equipment) which includes acid suit (acid jacket & acid pants) – full face respirator and hood

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the safe and proper handling of hazardous and non-hazardous materials in compliance with plant requirements
  • Provide efficient and traceable movement of in-bound and out-bound company products
  • Load and unload hazardous liquid chemical trucks, rail cars, and barges
  • Perform standard work and adhere to standard operating procedures to ensure unit safety, quality, and production goals are met
  • Maintain proper housekeeping and clean work environment
  • Perform minor running maintenance
  • Participate as member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT), including fire brigade, HAZWOPER technician, and confined space rescue
