About The Position

In this role, your responsibilities will include owning a defined design project or project segment, contributing to new product development, sensor design improvement, or technology investigation efforts. You will design and execute laboratory experiments and evaluations to characterize sensor or system performance, develop test plans, and propose design approaches for investigating technical questions or validating design concepts. You will analyze experimental data and translate findings into actionable design recommendations, documenting results through technical reports, design summaries, and presentations to project teams and leadership. Additionally, you will research and source materials, components, or equipment needed to support design objectives, and collaborate with engineers, chemists, technicians, manufacturing personnel, and other stakeholders across functional disciplines. You will also support test solution preparation, laboratory equipment maintenance, and test setup development, while maintaining laboratory safety by safely handling chemicals and following established testing procedures. Support for additional technical initiatives as business needs arise is also expected.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or chemistry
  • Zero (0) years of related professional experience required
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person at a Twin Cities location (Shakopee, Chanhassen, or Eden Prairie, MN)
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework or project experience in analytical chemistry, electrochemistry, or sensor design
  • Familiarity with measurement technologies such as pH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, or optical sensing
  • Laboratory experience, including safe chemical handling practices
  • Prior internship or undergraduate research experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
