Hemlock Semiconductor Operations is seeking Chemical Engineering students for summer internship positions at our manufacturing facility located in Hemlock, Michigan. Summer interns are assigned challenging projects that provide hands-on, practical work experience that is aligned to the student’s current level of coursework and skills. Projects may include one or more of the following areas: Process Optimization and Improvement, Technology Development and Implementation, Process Safety.

Requirements

High School Diploma
Candidate must attend a 4-year university and pursue a certificate or degree in a similar field of study
Minimum cumulative 2.7 GPA on 4.0 scale
Must be full-time student (12 or more credits) during fall and winter semesters
Must be able to work full time during the duration of the summer internship
Must be within driving distance to the site and have reliable transportation

Responsibilities

Assist Manufacturing Engineers with optimization efforts to improve yield, maximize throughput, maintain quality and increase process safety.
Assist Process Engineers with developing and installing new technology, providing specialized support to manufacturing to solve problems, implementing improvements.
Assist Project Engineers with supporting our manufacturing teams by executing projects that increase reliability, capacity and capability.
