About The Position

This internship opportunity is with WSP's industrial team in Sherbrooke, focusing on process engineering and project management. Interns will participate in real industrial projects aimed at improving processes, fostering innovation, and enhancing client performance. Working within a multidisciplinary team of experienced engineers, technicians, and project managers, interns will develop technical and management skills while contributing to challenging projects in the industrial consulting field.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Chemical Engineering or Biotechnology Engineering.
  • Completed a minimum of three years of university studies.
  • Relevant experience gained through internships or industrial projects.
  • Good understanding of mass balances, PFDs, and P&IDs.
  • Proficiency in French and good communication skills in English, both oral and written.
  • Demonstrate autonomy, rigor, and a strong collaborative spirit.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of process simulation software such as Aspen Plus or HYSYS is an asset.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the preparation of calculation notes, technical specifications, budget estimates, and engineering reports.
  • Contribute to the development of Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
  • Support the design, analysis, and optimization of industrial processes for various projects.
  • Perform process simulations and analyze results to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to obtain technical data and cost estimates.
  • Support the multidisciplinary coordination of design inputs and deliverables.
  • Participate in monitoring project progress, schedules, and risks.
  • Contribute to the preparation and presentation of project management reports for teams and clients.
