Chem Mix Tech I
About The Position
This is an entry-level chem mix position responsible for ensuring production lines are supplied with correct and needed solutions and chemicals while maintaining an organized workspace and completing quality documentation protocol. Successful training plan completion will qualify the operator for a Level II position. The role involves operating various blending and transfer equipment, understanding production schedules, running lab reports, maintaining cGMP expectations, performing cleaning and sanitation, data entry, managing inventory, measuring chemicals, mixing formulations, and understanding the Lotion Tote process. All work must be carried out safely and efficiently, demonstrating commitment to Rockline's RRITE Values. Associates play a crucial role in ensuring safe work practices and contributing to cooperative teamwork.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in manufacturing operations, i.e. packer, operator, material handler.
- HS/GED
- Some JDE Knowledge.
- Microsoft Office Experience
- cGMP Knowledge
- Attention to Detail
- Strong Work Ethic
- Good Organizational Skills
- Ability to work effectively with little supervision
Nice To Haves
- Some knowledge of Rockline basic information (Work order knowledge, acronyms, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Ensuring production lines are supplied with correct and needed solutions and chemicals.
- Maintaining an organized workspace.
- Completing quality documentation protocol.
- Operating DSI Blender, Educator, Transfer skids, BBU and Fragrance skids to deliver correct quantities based on production schedule and product quality needs.
- Activating tanks, agitators, pumps and hoses to ensure delivery of finished solutions to production lines in a timely manner both physically and through the system.
- Understanding production schedules to determine chemical and timing for product solutions.
- Running and reading Lab log reports in accordance with Rockline batching sheets per formulation to complete batching records in JDE.
- Maintaining cGMP expectations of cleaning, blending and supporting any related manufacturing process to Chem Mix.
- Performing and documenting cleaning and sanitation on all equipment used in the Chemical Mix Area.
- Data entry of checks and retain tracking along with collection of lab swab samples.
- Documenting lot numbers, times and quantities of chemicals on batch sheets for traceability.
- Managing chemical mix area material inventory through physical verification and data in JD Edwards.
- Measuring chemicals, mixing various formulations, and transferring solution.
- Understanding and following the Lotion Tote process and policies surrounding Tote: filling, storage, recycling, usage life cycle, tracking and so on.
- Carrying out all work in a safe and efficient manner.
- Safely operating equipment and machinery.
