About The Position
Unidine Healthcare is seeking a growth-minded Chef Manager for its healthcare business. The Chef Manager is responsible for the success of both culinary and food service operations, including the full culinary management of the food service operation. The role includes inventory, ordering, receiving, menu development, cost controls, and purchasing, with a focus on sourcing and using local food products. A passion for sustainability is valued. The position also involves exposition cooking and maintaining quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
Requirements
- Three years of culinary management experience in contract foodservice, a fine dining setting, or a restaurant.
- Inventory and purchasing knowledge and control.
- Working knowledge of HACCP.
- Extensive knowledge of food and catering trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
- Experience with exposition cooking.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience are desirable.
- ServSafe certification is a plus.
- A passion for sustainability.
