PLOW is an elevated farm-to-table restaurant in Cambridge, Wisconsin, housed in a former Grist Mill dating to the mid-1800s. The restaurant has recently renovated and expanded its back-of-house prep area, added a cigar and bourbon patio for events and catering, and plans to expand its hours. PLOW is building its kitchen team and is seeking line cooks, a pizza and salad maker, and a future head chef. The role may begin part-time, with the opportunity to become full-time by summer. The restaurant serves simple dishes made with quality, fresh ingredients, much of which is seasonal and locally sourced from its farm in Madison. Menu offerings include pastas, salads, prime rib, New York strip, fish fry, vegetarian lasagna, baked potatoes, Neapolitan pizzas, and smoked meats. Wood-fired dishes are prepared in a 900-degree oven, and meats are smoked in a CookShack FEC500 outdoor smoker. The kitchen offers an opportunity to contribute to a rural test-kitchen environment and to work across a farm-to-table culinary operation. The current owner, chef, and operator will help train the kitchen team and facilitate the development of the future executive chef. Candidates may have prior experience in this type of role or be interested in exploring whether cooking is for them. Baking and dessert skills are a plus. Current public service hours are Thursday through Saturday, 5–9 p.m.; prep may take place outside those hours, from 2–10. The restaurant intends to add Saturday and Sunday brunch and another service day. It is open Wednesdays through Saturdays and also operates for special occasions and selected holidays.
