We are looking for a strategic and technical leader with deep expertise in lifecycle marketing and platforms like Klaviyo, Mailchimp, and HubSpot. Requirements

  • 4+ years hands-on experience in technical email marketing (e-commerce and/or B2B), including strategy + execution + optimization.
  • 1+ year experience in an agency environment (or similar multi-client, fast-context-switch setting).
  • Strong experience with Klaviyo, Mailchimp(or comparable ESP/CRM tools)—you can build, troubleshoot, and explain setups clearly. Salesforce & Hubspot are an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to create and optimize complex lifecycle strategies (not just newsletters).
  • Strong understanding of email marketing fundamentals: deliverability, segmentation, list growth, QA, testing, and measurement.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and French, to communicate effectively with our bilingual clients and international/national team members;
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented: you can manage multiple clients, priorities, and stakeholders without quality slipping.
  • Comfortable being client-facing, leading calls, and presenting results and recommendations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using AI-assisted creative tools to accelerate and enhance email marketing production, including layout ideation, content variation, and rapid testing.
  • Familiarity with Figma and AI-powered design workflows (e.g. Figma, Figma Buzz or similar) to prototype, iterate, and collaborate on email creative efficiently.
  • Comfort collaborating with designers and developers using modern, AI-enabled creative processes.

Responsibilities

  • Own email and SMS programs end-to-end, from strategy and platform setup through execution, testing, and ongoing optimization, aligned to client growth objectives.
  • Design and manage lifecycle and campaign strategies (e.g. welcome, nurture, retention, re-engagement) while acting as the technical subject matter expert for ESPs/CRMs and email best practices.
  • Analyze performance and translate data into action through experimentation, optimization, and clear client-ready reporting that demonstrates impact and next steps.
  • You will be the agency’s point person for selling and expanding email marketing services. This is a core part of the role.
  • Support email marketing discovery and solution design, translating client needs into clear scopes, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
  • Support proposals and pitches, shape service offerings, and proactively identify upsell and expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Enable internal teams to sell email marketing effectively through documentation, case studies, and shared best practices.
  • Manage and coordinate 1–2 freelancers on recurring projects, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely delivery.
  • Establish and maintain standards, processes, and QA frameworks to support scalable and profitable delivery.
